Learning Objectives of JKBOSE Class 10th English Subject

According to the National Educational Research and Training Council (NCERT) in India, the learning objectives of the JKBOSE Class 10th English may include the following:

  • Dialogue:  Dialogue refers to a conversation that takes place between two or more people. It is the way to reflect on a topic or the interaction between characters through a story.
  • Narration: Narration is the method by which a story, event or experience is expressed by another person. It is the way to present the story directly or in narrative form.
  • Models:  Model is a type of phrase used as an ideal standard for other sentences. They are used in explaining sentence construction, grammar and language rules.
  • Articles: Articles are a type of noun or pronoun in grammar that, together with the name, adjectivates it. It consists of three types of articles: specified (the), unspecified (a/an) and zero (no article).
  • Phrases: Phrase are phrases in which the use of words in a sentence carries its own special mark. These phrases reveal a special meaning and make the sentence colorful by making appropriate combinations.
  • Pronouns: Pronouns are words that are used in place of the name. By using them we allude to the person, place, thing or emotion, without using a particular name.
  • Homonyms: Homonyms are words that are similar in word script and pronunciation, but different in meaning. These words help to understand misconceptions and clarify phrases.
  • Homophones: Homophones are words that sound similar in pronunciation, but have a different meaning and spelling. These words cause confusion in combination and colloquial speech.
  • Tenses: Tenses are the part in grammar that tells the time when the verb occurs. These are three main tenses according to the occurrence of the verb: present tense, past tense and Future Tense. Through these tenses we express the time of the action.
  • Clauses: Clauses are fragments of sentences that can freely form a complete sentence. These reveal a single idea and complete the sentence by combining it with other phrases.
  • Punctuation: Punctuation marks are the use to express and understand sentences. By placing them in the sentence, we can divide the sentence according to grammatical and communicative feelings and facilitate reading and writing.
